A Production Supervisor is responsible for leading production operations in the Toluca plant to achieve safety, quality, service, people development, and cost objectives. This role ensures operational excellence through effective team leadership, continuous improvement, compliance with food safety and quality standards, and the development of organizational capabilities aligned with Barry Callebaut's strategic goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead daily production operations to ensure achievement of safety, quality, service, productivity, and cost objectives.
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, driving risk management initiatives and fostering a zero-accident environment.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, GMP, HACCP, and company standards, as well as regulatory requirements applicable to the food industry.
  • Participate as an active member of the HACCP team and support internal audit activities.
  • Analyze, resolve, and prevent operational deviations by implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor and drive performance against key operational KPIs, including productivity, labor efficiency, waste reduction, yield improvement, and OEE optimization.
  • Lead and develop production teams through coaching, training, performance management, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Manage staffing, payroll-related incidents, workforce planning, and the development of self-directed teams.
  • Ensure equipment reliability through follow-up of preventive maintenance programs, abnormality closure, cleaning plans, and safe working conditions.
  • Promote World Class Manufacturing methodologies through BCOS and TPM systems, supporting autonomous maintenance practices.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Planning, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain to support operational continuity and problem-solving.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational performance, workforce capability, and resource optimization.
  • Support the implementation of global standards, corporate programs, and best practices across manufacturing sites.

 

About You:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Management, or related field).
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing environments, preferably within the food industry.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, food safety, and quality systems.
  • Experience with TPM methodologies and autonomous maintenance concepts.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with SAP systems.
  • Advanced English proficiency (B2-C1), including the ability to lead meetings and present operational results in English.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and conflict management skills.
