This role is part of the Center of Expertise team in Global Engineering organization and reports to Global CoE Director. The CoE team drives engineering standards development & implementation globally. The Technical Designer role focuses on driving technical drawings standards and supports regional project managers & engineers in preparation of technical documentation for global investment projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Development & implementation of global requirements for technical drawings for equipment suppliers & engineering companies
- Management of global portfolio of standard technical drawings
- Cooperation with Global Engineering Center of Excellence experts to develop standards equipment drawings & P&IDs
- Support Regional Project Managers & Site Technical Managers by preparation of site layouts, P&ID options as well as provide recommendations for the most appropriate setup
- Contact other departments and suppliers to collect the necessary technical information
- Support global footprint studies with layout evaluations
About you:
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in industrial mechanical engineering or similar
- Proficiency in use of 2D & 3D CAD software like AutoCad, Navisworks and/or Inventor
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, process industry. Chocolate/cocoa processing knowledge is a plus
- Previous practical experience with equipment design & industrial greenfield/brownfield projects
- Understanding of process automation
- English advanced level (B2+)
- Independent working style & ability to prioritize. Ability to work in multi-cultural environment & multiple stakeholders
- Problem solving / solution-oriented mindset
