About the role:
Barry Callebaut is transforming its Finance function into an agile, efficient, and insight‑driven co‑pilot for the business. This transformation is focused on strengthening financial transparency and enabling high‑quality, value‑based decision‑making across the organization. The Senior Manager, Finance Transformation translates finance transformation priorities into structured initiatives and delivered outcomes. Operating across the full lifecycle from initiative formulation to value realization, the role ensures transformation efforts are clearly defined, executable, and deliver tangible business impact. The role partners with business, finance, and digital stakeholders to drive execution, adoption, and value realization, ensuring momentum and alignment across transformation priorities.
Key responsibilities:
Drive priorities and translate into structured, executable initiatives:
- Translate strategic finance priorities into transformation initiatives and actionable roadmaps.
- Develop outlines, project charters, and business cases.
- Establish clear ownership and roles across stakeholders, ensuring accountability.
- Challenge assumptions, identify dependencies and ensure initiatives address meaningful business problems.
Lead delivery across the initiative lifecycle:
- Lead complex transformation initiatives from mobilization through stabilization and value realization.
- Drive execution with a strong focus on progress, prioritization, and resolving bottlenecks.
- Proactively identify risks and issues and take action to maintain momentum across shifting priorities.
Enable adoption and make change stick:
- Drive change and communication activities to support adoption.
- Align stakeholders, clarify expectations, and address resistance early,
- Embed sustainable ways of working into the Finance Operating Model.
Drive value realization and transparency:
- Ensure initiatives deliver against defined business outcomes and success measures.
- Monitor performance and take corrective actions to address gaps or risks.
- Make value delivery transparent to Finance Leadership.
Enable coherence across the transformation portfolio:
- Drive visibility across initiatives, interdependencies and transformation priorities.
- Support portfolio decision-making based on value, capacity and organizational readiness.
- Surface trade-offs and risks to leadership early.
- Ensure initiatives contribute to a coherent end-to-end Finance Transformation journey.
Contribute to a high-performing transformation environment:
- Improve governance, delivery, value realization and change management practices.
- Contribute to the evolution of Finance Transformation methodologies and tooling.
- Capture lessons learned and promote best practices.
- Support priority transformation initiatives as business needs evolve.
About you:
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or a related field.
- 8-12 years of experience in Finance, Business Transformation, Continuous Improvement, Project or Program Management within multinational organizations.
- Proven track record of leading complex transformation initiatives from mobilization through implementation and stabilization.
- Fluent in English and willing to travel occasionally.
- Strong understanding of finance processes, operating models, and transformation environments.
- Ability to translate complex business challenges into structured, actionable solutions and transformation roadmaps.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders, priorities, risks, and dependencies in fast-paced and evolving environments.
- Demonstrated success in driving change, embedding new ways of working, and ensuring stakeholder adoption.
- Strong ownership mindset, accountability, and a proactive, results-oriented approach.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills across functions, regions, and organizational levels.
- Ability to drive alignment and deliver outcomes without direct authority.
- Collaborative team player who builds trust, credibility, and strong relationships quickly.
- Continuous improvement mindset combined with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach; experience with SAP (ECC and/or S/4HANA) and Shared Services/GBS environments is an advantage.
