Molding supervisor

About the role:
The Molding Supervisor is responsible for operations, maintenance, planning and efficiencies of operating all lines in the production departments in a Lean Manufacturing environment. The Molding Supervisor has a strong commitment to food and employee safety and ensures compliance for both. Ongoing, consistent application and monitoring of BRC, HACCP, GMP and Health and Safety programs and regulations. The Molding Supervisor ensures food and employee safety in their daily routine.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for embedding and maintaining a "Safety First" mindset and ensuring compliance with food safety standards, GMP practices, and employee safety requirements.

Communicate daily production schedules, expectations, and requirements to the team, ensuring alignment and follow-up on completion.

Direct, monitor, and evaluate workforce performance, behaviors, and work areas, including coaching, discipline, and support when needed.

Lead and promote continuous improvement initiatives, encouraging team participation and engagement.

Oversee sanitation, preventive maintenance (PM), and production-related repairs, coordinating closely with maintenance teams across shifts.

Ensure smooth production operations, including managing rework, minor repairs, and supporting hands-on activities when required.

Coordinate effectively with other departments to address production needs and ensure operational continuity.

Manage staffing activities, including scheduling, attendance tracking, time-off management, and maintaining accurate reports and timesheets.

Identify training needs, develop and implement training programs (including OJT), and support employee development.

Maintain operational accountability during shifts, including safety, security, inventory accuracy (SAP entries), documentation, and compliance with company procedures.
About you:
- College Diploma/Associate’s Degree in Food Science, Production Management or Business Administration
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a food manufacturing or industrial environment, including supervisory responsibility.
- Strong leadership, organizational, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; SAP experience is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Integrated Work Systems (IWS) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is preferred.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat and physical demands, including moving throughout the facility.
- Lift Truck experience is an asset.
- First Aid and CPR certification are an asset.
- WSIB Part 1 & 2 certification are an asset.
Compensation: Annual Range: $69,850 - $87,300 CAD
Working Hours: 6:45pm to 7:00am
