About the role

 

The traffic coordinator directs all activities related to cocoa bean shipments from loading ports worldwide to destination ports. Where applicable, the traffic coordinator receives and stores cocoa beans in destination port warehouses for later delivery to BC Plants or TP Customers, facilitates a cost-effective flow of cargo, and supports the team lead to achieve cost-optimization or cost-avoidance along the logistic chain from the loading in origin to the delivery to customers.

 

Key Responsibilities include

 

  • Registration and control of purchase and sales contracts

  • Organization of the internal and external document flow for physical purchases and sales of cocoa beans

  • Monitoring and coordination of deliveries by sea and ex warehouse in cooperation with suppliers, forwarding agents and shipping companies

  • Monitoring of delivery times

  • Review, approval, booking and issuing of all invoices that are related to the buying and selling transactions and that comply with the company's internal guidelines

  • Ensuring insurance coverage

  • Storage of cocoa beans, monitoring of storage lots, handling of special cases, maintenance of data, control and booking of all warehouse bills

  • Creation and processing of insurance dossiers on arrival of damaged goods, assertion of contractual claims against sellers or the insurance company for goods that are not in conformity with the contract

  • Support of Cocoa Bean Traders by coordinating physical purchases and sales

  • Support ad-hoc queries and projects within Supply Chain & Logistics

 

About you

 

  • 3 years’ work experience in International Trading Company or Forwarding/Logistics Company
    or in Supply Chain or in Order Processing

  • Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Inco Terms 2020, VAT and knowledge of shipping and export documents

  • Excellent knowledge of MS office and web-based systems

  • Highly organized, proactive and prioritizes issues

  • Dedicated to efficiency and accuracy

  • Collaborative team player in a lively environment (open-space office)

  • Open minded, likes the daily contact with internal and external business partners

  • Hands on mentality, can-do attitude

  • Likes the challenge and the unexpected on the daily job, flexible, proactive, customer oriented
