Senior Chocolate Academy Chef 100%

Immediately or upon agreement

 

 

The Senior Chocolate Academy Chef is responsible for creating specialized applications and products in response to commercial and marketing needs, as well as participating in and executing agreed training programs at the Academy under the guidance of the Head of Chocolate Academy Zurich.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Testing Barry Callebaut products, developing new recipes, improving existing ones
  • Preparation of fairs & events (customer, management, corporate)
  • Developing and holding workshops such as courses, sharing expertise and fostering culinary innovation
  • Play a prominent role in external communications, representing the company's chocolate expertise and sustainability values in interactions with stakeholders and customers
  • Co-creating with R&D on potential new products
  • Being an Ambassador of the company brands and values
  • Promoting and organizing events with distributors, direct customers in close collaboration with Sales & Marketing team
  • Shape the training plan for chefs and sales teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and contributing to key presentations.
  • Active planning and supporting the Chocolate Academy course calendar
  • Technical support on applications and usage of Barry Callebaut products for customers

 

About you:

 

  • Trained Pastry Chef with specialization in Chocolate and Pastry
  • over 3 years of experience in the chocolate industry, specializing in Swiss Chocolate fundamentals
  • Excellent communication skills, including a minimum of 2 years' experience in delivering classes and presentation
  • Serving as a Senior technical advisor for chefs, with over 5 years of expertise in chocolate.
  • Capable of providing training to colleagues and customers on various local chocolate applications and techniques.
  • Creative mindset, with strong ability to “think- out-of the box” for the creation of new & seasonal concepts
  • German and English are mandatory and 1 local language French or Italian
  • Travel: approximately 30% of national and international travel activities
