Senior Business Analyst (SQL Developer)

About the role

 

As a Senior Business Analyst you are in charge of understanding, analyzing and implementing business requirements, work on day-to-day tasks as well as being involved in project related discussions. You have the capability to write technical documentations, business blueprints as well as training and user manuals.

Furthermore, the work in our team is very versatile, because you are not only a Business Analyst but also a MS SQL developer for our application, which is based on MS SQL 2019 (Backend) and MS Access 2019 (Frontend).

 

Key Responsibilities include

 

  • Ability to understand/formalize business requirements and to translate them into functional/technical designs for developments

  • Develop the business requirements / functional design and perform unit and regression testing before roll-out

  • Provide programming efforts and estimates to project teams

  • Provide Quality Assurance on the functional design

  • Monitor interfaces/batches – analyze issues and dispatch to the relevant teams

  • Coaching of Junior Analysts

  • Ability to train users on developed solutions

 

About you

 

  • Bachelor or Master University degree in Economics, Computer Sciences, Engineering or Similar

  • Min. 5 years experience in SQL Database design and administration

  • Good understanding in relational database concept

  • Very good knowledge level on T-SQL (table design, query design, stored procedures and optimizations) as well as on MS SSIS

  • Knowledge of any additional programming language is a plus

  • Knowledge of Commodity Trading / Logistics is a clear plus

  • Analytical mind, structured and attention to detail makes you an ideal candidate

  • Willingness to learn business content and be engaged directly with business stakeholders

  • Self-motivated and willing to work on an energetic, fast-paced & global team

  • Excellent communicator and team player with a critical, yet result-oriented and positive attitude

  • Very good verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
