Organizational Design & Effectiveness Manager (Temporary 12-18 months)

About the Role

 

Project manager for simplifying and harmonizing the organization design for global cocoa in order to improve speed and decision making effectiveness and collaboration within Global Cocoa as well as with chocolate regions and corporate functions. The candidate will be collaborating closely with the VP, HR Global Cocoa for supporting high priority strategic organization change. In this role, the candidate will partner with business leaders to improve organizational effectiveness, and continued growth and diversification through business transformation so that Global Cocoa is well prepared for future business challenges. The work will involve diagnosing current state, stakeholder alignment, future state design and development, transformation planning and change management/execution activities across Global Cocoa and functions.

 

Key Responsibilities will include:

 

  • Partner closely with the business and create transparency and easy to understand visibility on the current “as is” organization design
  • Document the roles and key responsibilities of Global Cocoa/Chocolate Regions and Corporate Functions as they relate to cocoa regional divisions and key business decision processes
  • Identify inefficient and/or conflicting organizational designs and/or responsibilities and/or decision making processes
  • Document the RAPID’s for key business decision processes (as agreed with the business) in each functional area
  • Provide actionable recommendations to significantly simplify, harmonize and improve the organization’s effectiveness with clear roles and responsibilities and accountabilities for Corporate, Global Cocoa functional leads, Cocoa Divisions and Chocolate Regions 
  • Develop an implementation plan, obtain approval and deploy accordingly
  • Use external benchmark and learning from other organization design approached and decision making processes
  • Create/update job descriptions down to ExCo-2 in Global Cocoa showing how they are connected to decision making process and aligned with other Global Projects 
  • Develop and implement change management initiatives related to the organizational effectiveness changes
  • Use data, analytics and insights to enable evidence-based approach to OD and continuously assess and demonstrate impact
  • Deliver Organizational Development expertise to a variety of projects including strategy development, organization assessment, organization design, change and culture transformation across a diverse set of businesses

 

 

About You

 

  • Master degree or equivalent experience in the field of Organizational Development, Organizational Behavior or Organizational Psychology
  • Six Sigma/LEAN methodologies is a plus
  • 5 year of progressive experience in Organizational Development & Design or Human Capital Consulting Experience
  • Strong project management & change management experience, including the ability to plan and execute complex projects with limited oversight
  • Experience creating and sustaining processes and programs that align with company culture to build team, leader, and organizational capacity to reach stated objectives
  • Additional skills in the areas of team-building, continuous improvement, competency modeling and other OD skills that maximize the job performance of employees is a plus
  • Ability to effectively and pragmatically apply Organizational Development approaches to meet business and stakeholder needs
  • Demonstrates strong business acumen and a track record of success in partnering with the business
  • Ability to gather data, analyze issues, identify root causes, and surface difficult issues
