This role focuses on negotiating Barry Callebaut’s Terms & Conditions of Purchase with various raw material suppliers. You will work closely with the Legal team and act as the key legal and commercial interface for internal stakeholders, ensuring that agreements comply with corporate standards and support strategic sourcing objectives.

 

Task Overview

  • Lead contract negotiations with raw material suppliers based on Barry Callebaut’s Terms and Conditions of Purchase and in line with company policies
  • Draft and finalize contract amendments as needed
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Sourcing, Quality, Legal)
  • Track negotiation status, follow up with suppliers and proactively drive progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and version control in company’s supplier portal (SRM).

 

Requirements

  • Student in Law (3rd year or higher) at a Swiss University
  • Business-fluent in English, knowledge of German/ French is a plus
  • Experience in contract negotiations, preferably in a procurement or sourcing context
  • Team-oriented personality with strong attention to detail and precision in drafting
  • Technical affinity, as work involves using the company’s supplier portal (SRM) and various digital tools (DocuSign, MS Office etc.)
  • Efficient, flexible and pragmatic with ability to work independently and manage multiple negotiations simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
