About the role


The OSCO (Operations and Supply Chain Organisation) Global Asset Reliability Leader is responsible for identifying opportunities and developing plans to reach maximum asset capability across our global footprint.


Key responsibilities include


  • Develop/align performance metrics to evaluate asset productivity, availability, and efficiency across the enterprise
  • Develop programs or projects targeted toward improving business performance, leveraging regional and local teams to execute
  • Focal point for asset audits collaborating with our SHE, Engineering, Risk, and Sustainability functions as required
  • Lead and/or partner with Cross Functional Teams, as a problem-solving support for the manufacturing network (i.e. troubleshooting, safe operations, environmental compliance, product quality etc.) to balance cost, reliability and efficiency on an ongoing basis
  • Engage in equipment and process design for capital and maintenance projects; evaluate options, review plans and provide inputs on vendor selection
  • Assist in the development of best practices, the definition of standards, and set up governance for asset communities to support competence development through coaching and training
  • Providing subject matter expertise on mechanical asset performance and reliability management
  • Identify and implement safe and cost-effective maintenance strategies and operational standards
  • Own the standard CMMS and other support systems driving a consistent deployment
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement governance, in particular the support of critical productivity topics directly or indirectly supported by Asset reliability
  • Actively support and manage content (standards and training materials) leveraging our Gemba School Platform (OSCO learning Hub)


About you


  • Master’s Degree in an Engineering type discipline
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in maintenance/reliability engineering and preferably in continuous process manufacturing environments.
  • Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt (advantageous)
  • In-depth knowledge of equipment, site operations, maintenance processes, production processes, cost drivers, and supporting digital technology
  • Familiarity with Capital Project Management methodology and the role of the technical resource in each phase of project development
  • A strong understanding of lean beliefs and leadership behaviors. You have ideally gained first-hand experience operating within an established global continuous improvement culture
  • Familiarity with structured problem-solving methodologies and lean tools (5S, Visual Management, RCA, FMEA, etc.)
  • Ability to effectively interpret and present technical processes, information and respond to questions from all levels within the organization
  • You feel at home at the Gemba, having a strong connection with shop floor culture. You’re not an ‘ivory tower’ leader
  • Great collaborator who has the ability to work up, down and across the company to get things accomplished in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Able to influence and motivate stakeholders from operator up to board level to adopt and understand the necessary beliefs, behaviors and Gemba routines
  • A sense of fun, bringing energy to the day to day
  • Flexibility to travel 30% Regionally and Globally


Location can be either Zurich, Switzerland or Wieze, Belgium
