About the Role
As the Global Certification Manager you will deal with the ever-increasing need for global coordination (cocoa, non-cocoa & chocolate) of sustainability / certified volumes (including organic) and the respective flow of credits and its optimization and its financial impact. The position has a global scope over the Group’s credits flows of beans, products, ingredients and chocolate following the physical flows.
The Global Certification Manager supports in realizing the value through sales / capitalization. The role will actively be participating and be one of the drivers of the Centre of Excellence and everything decide in the Center of Excellence. Training and information sharing is part of the job. This position will also be at distance manage the SSC team responsible for the credit tracking and management.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Credit Position Management
- Build and maintain a Global End to End understanding of certification credits volumes
- Develop Certification strategy together with relevant VP’s
- Monthly credit position and capitalization to relevant Cocoa VPs
- Map the pricing flows globally and keep them updated
- Bring reporting to a level aligned with financial auditor requirements
- Support the teams in their reporting set up
- Be the link with IT/IM for all data related issues
- GBS Management
- Manage the team in the GBS which is responsible for credit recording and monitoring
- Train and guide the team to fulfill the “new” tasks required from the team.
- Steer the creation of a new process that allow the GBS to use the new reporting tools for position management as well as the new external portals.
- Steer the creation of new reporting processes for the team that would adhere to financial audit requirements should BC decide to capitalize the credit position
- Support the team with creating new processes for new customer Credit reporting
- Participate in the internal audits
- Lead and execute a project to expand the initial reporting tools to reflect additional RSPO requirements: coordinate across various functions
- Certification Body Management
- Be one of the drivers in the Centre of Excellence, schedule with the CoE trainings and updates for the group
- Where needed manage the relationship between certification bodies for cocoa and non-cocoa, coordinate lobbying efforts across Barry Callebaut
- Coordinate certification related questions across multiple stakeholders, internal and external to BC
About You
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience on a global role within certification management and ability to lead the team
- Experience in cocoa and/or chocolate business & working in a commercial environment
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English; German and French would be a plus
- Strong with numbers and affinity with them
- Strong analytical skills
- An innovative mindset to build processes from scratch and solve complex problems that do not have an obvious solution
