About the Role

As Sales Manager Distribution & Artisans BAPA Netherlands, you will play a key role in bringing our gourmet strategy to life.

You’ll be responsible for sales performance, profitability, and team leadership - guiding a team of (National) Account Managers while collaborating closely with colleagues and regional stakeholders. You will own the local implementation of the regional strategy and be the driving force behind our business success in the whole Dutch market.

This is a high-impact role for someone passionate about food, commercially driven, and eager to lead with purpose.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the regional (NL) sales strategy
  • Lead and coach the commercial team of 5 Account Managers to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Lead by example - manage and grow relationships with key distribution partners and engage directly with professional end users
  • Monitor performance and ensure timely goal setting, tracking, and course correction where needed
  • Collaborate with marketing to align on volume, profitability, and market share goals
  • Support the rollout of CRM strategies to strengthen customer engagement
  • Analyze market trends and communicate insights to internal teams
  • Ensure accurate sales forecasting and alignment with supply chain planning
  • Create a positive, performance-driven team culture

 

What You Bring

  • A Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Food Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in distribution
  • Knowledge of the chocolate or gourmet food industry is a strong plus
  • Proven success in building strategic partnerships and growing customer relationships
  • Strong analytical and planning skills; data-driven mindset
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
  • Fluent in Dutch and English

Travel Requirements

  • Regular travel within the Benelux region is required.
  • Occasional travel across Western Europe may be expected.
