Regional Account Manager – Amsterdam & Utrecht 

As a Regional Account Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for customers in your assigned region (areas of Amsterdam; Utrecht). You will be responsible for managing customer relationships, driving sales volumes and margins, and identifying new business opportunities. Success in this role requires strong collaboration with internal teams and distributor sales representatives, as well as a deep understanding of your customers’ business models.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales and margin targets within the assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers.
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans in collaboration with the sales manager and cross-functional teams.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and assess their needs to offer tailored solutions.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity, sharing insights with relevant departments.
  • Promote innovation and expand the specialty product portfolio in collaboration with customers.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and trade regulations during contract negotiations.
  • Maintain accurate and high-quality data in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Actively contribute to internal knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant B2B sales experience, preferably in the food industry.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch.
  • Strong commercial skills including negotiation, presentation, and communication.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce is a plus.
