POSITION TITLE: Sanitation Technician


REPORTING TO: Sanitation Supervisor


LOCATION: St. Albans, VT

Responsible for all cleaning activities necessary for the cleanliness throughout the manufacturing facility and office areas.


SHIFT HOURS:  Sunday Monday and Tuesday 7:00am - 7:15pm and Wednesday 7:00am - 1:15pm or Wednesday 1:00pm - 7:15pm and Thursday Friday and Saturday 7:00am - 7:15pm. 


Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for cleaning all aspects of the factory including but not limited to: interior and some exterior, washrooms, restrooms, common areas and office areas. (75%)
  • Responsible for structure cleaning; rotation. (10%)
  • Complete all SAP/BRC paperwork to comply with existing and new requirements. (5%)
  • Responsible for participation in Bloodborne Pathogens, chemical and glass cleanup programs. (5%)
  • Required to participate in daily exercise activities at the beginning of each shift. (5%)
  • Responsible for food and employee safety as well as meeting all regulatory requirements for both.
  • At all time:
  • Follow Company required Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices.


About you:


  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in a food-manufacturing environment.
  • Follows work schedule, knowing what steps or sequence of steps are needed to complete the work.  Must use judgment in determining that standards of sanitation, timeliness, and courtesy, etc. are met. 
  • Constant standing and walking is required as well as lifting or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.  May occasionally work or lift objects weighing over 50 pounds with assistance of other workers.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, band and stretch to view all areas of the facility as well as climb ladders and move comfortably around the entire facility.
  • Must be able to use scissor lift daily.
