POSITION TITLE: Operator 3, Machine Molding
REPORTING TO: Supervisor, Production
LOCATION: St. Albans, VT

The Operator 3, Machine Molding (MO3), is responsible for coverage of breaks, planned time off and unplanned absences. The MO3 is also responsible for operating the molding equipment to safely manufacture the required quantity and quality standards of finished product to meet the customer’s specifications. Additional responsibilities may include providing oversight of the process and supporting line operators when needed.
SHIFT HOURS: Wednesday 1:00pm - 7:15pm and Thursday Friday and Saturday 7:00am - 7:15pm.

- Performs duties of an Operator 2, Machine Molding
- Line Operator coverage as needed for breaks, planned time off and unplanned absences
- Operates multiple packaging lines and/or molding equipment
- Identifies improvements per KPI’s
- Communicates through Team Board’s and with leadership team
- Perform Machine set up
- Preform advanced preventative maintenance and repairs in partnership with Technicians
- Performs and oversees product quality control checks on assigned positions
- Enters performance confirmations and shift information into SAP
- Line Operator coverage as needed
- Reviewing / Confirmation of Shift Paperwork
- Fully trained and assists as needed in the “Pull Sheet” process
- Performs Master Sanitation
- Fill in for Item Changeover Coordinator as needed
About you:
- High school diploma or GED
- Mechanical ability/aptitude, a plus
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
- Math Skills
- Computer skills; Excel and SAP, required
- Minimum three (3) years manufacturing experience, preferred
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, preferred
- Understand manufacturing process flow
- Trained in Quality/Sensory, preferred
- Trained in Chocolate tempering, preferred
- Class 3 Fork Lift and Handcart certification, required
- Ability to stand on concrete floor for long periods of time
- Bend, squat, stretch, reach; frequently
- Ability to climb stairs, often
- Must be able to lift minimum of 50lbs, often
- Comfortable working at heights
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the facility
- Noise level can exceed .85 decibels
