POSITION TITLE:   Material Handler


REPORTING TO:  Supervisor, Warehouse


LOCATION:  St Albans, Vermont

About the role: 


This position is responsible for conveying (by forklift/ handcart and/or high racker) all necessary materials to and from warehouse though out the facility as needed.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Transfer finished product to the warehouse staging area
  • Return inventory of any unused related materials
  • Review daily/weekly production plans to forecast material needs
  • Retrieve packaging/ half finish as needed according to FIFO and JIT system
  • Verify and sign documents associated to material movements
  • Balance production totals of previous shift with molding plans, sample sheet, order to produce
  • Maintain equipment and assist with inventory
  • Transport and assist in the organization of finished product/packing materials
  • Maintain equipment as needed (battery, GMP, report maintenance request)
  • Assist departments projects as needed (inventory, breaks, repacks, etc.)




  • High school diploma or GED


Work Experience:


  • Good mechanical aptitude, preferred
  • Forklift certification, preferred
  • Successful with following written and oral instructions, required
  • Good math skills, required
  • Previous material handling equipment experience, a plus
  • Basic computer knowledge, required


Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to stand on concrete floor for long periods of time
  • Bend, squat, stretching, reaching, frequently
  • Ability to climb stairs, often
  • Must be able to lift minimum of 50lbs 
  • Long periods of computer usage; finger dexterity and hand movement for use of keyboard and mouse, repetitive motion 
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the facility
  • Noise level can exceed .85 decibels
