Summary of Position: The Process Engineer will be responsible for delivering regular recommendations on how to optimize our molding operation and remove bottlenecks to increase throughput.  The successful candidate will work side-by-side with the workstream team to optimize our molding equipment, and improve processes in order to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability and maximize profitability. He/she will also be responsible for managing the new product introduction process items.



Develop, configure and optimize molding processes

•           Ensure the molding processes work at the optimum level, run rate and quality. Ex: Changeovers, rework generation, run rates, FTQ, waste, preventative maintenance program, MUV

•           Identify and reduce impact of bottlenecks throughout process

•           Observe and assess processes, take measurements and interpret data

•           Design, run, and test upgrades and improvements

•           Identify and manage projects to drive savings and improve throughput

Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output

•           Provide process documentation and operating instructions

•           Create training tools to support standardization and knowledge transfer

Support new item creation at the site (f-trial process)

•           Actively supporting production floor trials

•           Providing the link between operations and process controlling including R&D

•           Responsible for new item review and set up

Promotes quality within the workstream

•           Supports quality systems

•           Ensures raw materials and finished goods are within spec

Performs other related duties as requested


Qualifications and requirements:

•           BS degree in Engineering or equiv experience

•           Proven work experience in processing engineering with excellent technical skills

•           Familiarity with health, safety, food safety and food manufacturing regulations

•           Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills

•           Ability to react quickly to changing environments and new processing developments

•           Ability to adhere to GMPs and all other food safety requirements
