About the role
To fuel our growth objective in line with GamePlan’26 in the Asia Pacific region, we are looking for a Sustainability Marketing and Communications Manager in our Singapore headquarters. This role will assist the Head of Marketing in shaping and driving the Barry Callebaut sustainability solutions, helping our customers develop a value proposition to lead the way and innovate through sustainability.
Key responsibilities include
Reporting to the Head of Marketing (based in Singapore), he/she will need to
- Develop and recommend value proposition for the customers, in line with consumer trends in the market, tying back to the customer's brand and making it relevant to their target audience.
- Help customers with narratives, roadmap and lead the way to communicate, educate & innovate through sustainability
- Deep understanding of regional/local consumer insights (attitudes and behaviors towards sustainability) and work with segment marketing teams to embed them into our innovative product concepts, stepping up our solution selling game in co-creations and inspirations with customers.
- Develop marketing and external communication materials on sustainability relevant for the Asia markets, and in line with global guidelines
- Work with brand and portfolio managers (FM/Cocoa/Gourmet) to adapt insights and communications materials fit for the brand and for them to execute across the region
- Work with Customer engagement teams to identify the optimal communication channels (offline & online) to acquire and convert leads with our sustainability solutions.
- Serve as regional spokesperson on sustainability
- Work with Sustainability business development manager to develop sustainability-related customer proposals and long-term supply contracts
- Work with global sustainability team on relevant global initiatives
- Work with Sustainability business development manager to train sales for C-level conversations
About you
- Masters/Degree in Marketing & Communications or related.
- Min 8-10 years of marketing experience in B2C FMCG beverage or food industry with international experience or exposure
- Excellent language skills, written and spoken (Proficiency in English; at least one other language is a preference)
- Great storytelling and presentation skills
- Has previously worked for a company that positions sustainability as a business driver
- An active user of various digital media/social media platforms know how digital media functions and appreciates the impact it’s bringing to consumers’ lives today.
- Occasional travel is part of the job
- Has strong leadership skills and ability to influence without authority
- A team player with great communication skills
