About the role

  • A Production Supervisor is responsible for carrying out manufacturing and production processes of chocolate lines. The primary role is to lead, supervise and manage daily production and operational activities.

 

Key responsibilities include

  • Lead and supervise the production team to meet daily production output and operational target
  • Ensure the production team works in a safe environment and comply with all safety procedures
  • Conduct daily toolbox briefings to create workplace safety awareness, food safety awareness and GMP awareness
  • Understand production schedules and prioritize production sequence - Packaging materials and Raw materials
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve non-conformance production issues, collaborate with the maintenance team to resolve equipment malfunctions and abnormalities
  • Ensure the manufacturing process remains smooth and efficient. Evaluate stations/processes of the production operation to identify bottlenecks and ensure optimum efficiency
  • Maintain production records and ensure raw material/packaging/finished product are recorded timely
  • Apply and advocate operating procedures and standards
  • Analyse and ensure accurate recording of production data into reports and/or SAP system
  • Responsible for daily production reports (including any off-specification results and investigations)
  • Ensure all QA samples from production are collected and measured on time
  • Responsible for the training, recruitment, attendance, and performance management of the production team

 

About you

  • Minimum Diploma in Food Science / Electrical or Mechanical engineering
  • At least 5 years of working experience in production planning and managing production operations in food service/manufacturing industry
  • Relevant training and certification in industrial production, engineering or any related field
  • Able to perform 12 hours rotating shift work (Day and Night shift)
  • With organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • IT Skills and experience in SAP or related ERP system will be an advantage
