Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

  • Lead team of maintenance Engineering Assistant (EA) for effective implementation of Preventive Maintenance programmed.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to EA for diagnosing, troubleshooting; training; repairing of plant process manufacturing equipments / machineries. Attend ad hoc emergency call back operations.


Key responsibilities include

  • Supervision/Leadership
    • Ensure that repair and maintenance are carried out properly, safely and on time.
    • Set job priority, urgency, and time line of tasks for subordinate.
    • Work planning to ensure that spare parts and material are available.
    • Planning and co-ordination with production for major repair and overhaul
    • Arrange sustaining  manpower to support the daily operation
  • Costs
    • Ensure work completed at the shortest time, minimize wastages and re-work.
    • Sourcing more cost-effective suppliers
  • Breakdown Maintenance
    • Coordinate with production on breakdown maintenance.
    • Support shift personnel in diagnose and correct equipment failure in breakdown maintenance.
    • Plan for urgent follow-up equipment repair.
    • Support shift personnel after office hours for major breakdown.
    • Guide and coach the team member to deliver the quality RCA
  • Preventive Maintenance
    • Maintain work system in Maximo System.
    • Review effectiveness of preventive maintenance program.
    • Ensure that Preventive Maintenance is completed on schedule.
    • Planning and scheduling of Preventive Maintenance tasks to the team member
  • Training and Certification
    • Lead the training and certification for the shift team member
    • Provied training to production on AM technique
  • Efficiency Improvement
  • Execute equipment improvement and modification.
  • Analyze/Monitor equipment breakdown and plan, schedule for improvement.
    • Make improvement on work methods and procedures.
    • Follow up on the KPI for the team members to measure the monthly efficiency of the members
  • Overhaul/ Major activities: Plan annual equipment overhaul, FR & TR Roll replace, CON, FT, ST, packing seal replace and major service activities equipment improvement and modification.
  • Project Work
    • Coordinate improvement and modification works required for plant machineries / equipments and ensure complete all assigned project on time on budget.
    • Provide technical support for plant wide capacity expansion project taking into consideration of existing infrastructure, tie-in points and new equipment  accessibility for maintenance.
    • Controller for issuance of Work permits to subcontractors and ensuring good Safety/GMP practices are complied.
    • Management of vendors, service providers as well as contractors for all projects and installation works.
    • On-site feasibility study in support of preparation of proposal including sourcing quotes; technical application and specifications.
    • Coordinating with functional teams on design and installation to meet Quality; EHS, Production and Maintainability requirements.
    • Propose improvement works targeting at cost reduction; improve efficiencies; productivity; Quality; Safety.
  • EHS / Quality
    • Conduct internal GMP / Quality/ Foreign Material Audit and follow up with the rectification / improvement works to improve the Quality and GMP condition
    • Participate in customer audit / BRC / AVA and support with proper documentation / records to fulfill the standards and requirements pertaining to Calibrations and Maintenance Operations.
    • Participate as part of the Emergency response team and assist in conducting fire drills and assessment
    • Participate in the EHS / Quality HACCP team in investigation; process risk assessment, CCP setup requirements and follow up with complaints corrective actions / preventive actions.

 

About you

  • Professional Certificate/NiTEC, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma
  • People Management (Able to lead and manage a team of 10 direct reports)
  • Windows, Office Excel, Office Word, PowerPoint,
  • Technical Background :
    • Maintenance and designing of Electro-Pneumatic System.
    • Fitting and welding skills.
    • Overhaul of Machinery.
    • Understand engineering Drawings and machinery manuals.
    • Knowledge on fluid dynamics for piping design (added advantage).
    • Microsoft Office.
    • Basic Electrical Practices.
    • Motor and Pump Servicing.
    • Machine Tooling
