 About the role

This role is to handle the following key responsibilities mentioned to cover the areas within the scope of supply chain function with emphasis & focus on overall logistics activities/scope involving warehousing & shipping.


Key responsibilities include

  • Manage and continually improve total logistics (warehousing and shipping) function within the Supply Chain Department with the aim of ensuring an optimum level of resource utilization to meet production, inventory, and customer service needs within process, facility and cost constraints
  • Supervise a team of warehouse personnel in the day to day warehouse & physical logistics operations.
  • Drive logistics and warehouse operations performance index to exceed internal and external customer's expectations at the lowest possible cost for logistics and warehouse
  • Oversee & Management of 3rd party warehousing storage & handling services, monthly cycle count & Reconciliation activities, and Reporting to manage & track on stock accuracy.
  • Network of interaction/ interface with:
    • Internal stakeholders:
      • Production/Planning – Raw materials & Packaging
      • Customer service (CS) - Discuss and negotiate shipment/ delivery schedule if changes happen in production/quality issue, on customer issues. Work with CS to coordinate on ensuring supply to customer. Customer sample request & Pre-shipment sample preparation & management.
      • QA – Discuss & liaise relating to quality matter that arises which impact on shipments inbound & outbound   
      • Finance – Stock count reporting & reconciliation
      • HR - Training, recruitment, staff welfare & wellness
      • Project – Assist in shipment related planning, deployment of storage-related activities.
      • Purchasing - PR Submission for the replenishment of warehouse consumables (e.g. airbag, pallet sheet, plastic sheet, etc.) including packaging material and logistics arrangement for goods purchases by blending company
    • ​External stakeholders:
      • Forwarding/Handling Agents - Coordinate & liaison on all import & export shipments
      • Warehousing Agent - Coordinate & liaison on in-house warehousing operations in tandem with external warehouse service providers/agency & logistics handling service providers/agency
      • Transporters – To coordinate & liaise on local logistics, transportation/trucking                                
  • Participate in fine-tuning & improvement of logistics function/activities with end-to-end supply chain continuous improvement mindset.
  • Assist the superior on logistics day to day operations, ensure each assigned activity is followed thru according to SOP/instruction.
  • Active participation in SAP interface/integration projects & roll-outs involving warehouse & materials handling management
  • Any other duties & responsibilities to be assigned from time to time relating to logistics function.
  • Be able to work independently and work under pressure


About you

  • Diploma/Bachelor degree in Business/ Supply Chain Management  
  • Min. A level for those with at least 5 years of relevant logistics (warehousing & shipping) working experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of people management experience
  • English communication skill
  • Chinese communication skill is a plus
  • Experience managing logistics and warehousing in a manufacturing environment
  • Min. 5 years working experience and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain/logistics management position
  • Experience in working in a food-related industry is a plus
  • Hands-on excel, word, PowerPoint knowledge
  • Inventory control and MRP exposure by SAP will be an advantage
  • Strong communication skills, capable to analyze large data sets
  • Has the ability to work independently with a sense of business acumen capable of presenting logical and well-structured proposals
  • Proficient in English & Mandarin
