About the role

Within the overall business, to assist in analyzing all incoming and outgoing products in ensuring only approve product is used and release to the customer.


Key responsibilities include

  • Laboratory Analysis
    • Is responsible for raw materials sampling and laboratory analysis of incoming raw materials, in-process, end products, complaints, and competitor samples.
    • Is responsible for liaising with the external laboratory on microbe analysis.
    • Ensure that tests, as assigned, are performed in a timely manner in accordance with the corporate procedure
    • Advise on the significance of test results and follow up with appropriate action
  • Environmental Monitoring ProgramIs responsible for conducting environmental control testing in the factory and giving feedback to production for corrective action.
  • Laboratory- Maintenance
    • Is responsible for the housekeeping of analytical, physical and microbiological laboratories, as well as the sensory room
    • It is responsible for internal calibration.
  • SAP System: Maintain complete and accurate recordings of test results in the QA system via the SAP system.
  • Documentation: Carry out administrative duties like keeping a record of both analytical and microbiological laboratory activities, raw material, environmental report (invisible hygiene) and certificate of analysis of raw materials.
  • Others: Assist in QA retained sample management
  • Internal stakeholders:
    • Production
      • To ensure the compliances of environment monitoring
      • To ensure and provide finished good results accordingly.
      • Engineering: To ensure the compliances of environment monitoring
      • Warehouse: To ensure raw material has been released accordingly
  • External stakeholders:
    • External Laboratory: To ensure raw material/product is analyzed accordingly


About you

  • Minimum diploma in a related field such as Food Science, Chemical Process Engineering, etc.
  • Preferably with 1-2 years’ work experience in the laboratory and food industry.
  • Is responsible and conscientious
  • Has the flexibility and ability to take up various QA job functions
  • Has initiative and good team spirit
  • Able to work independently
  • Needs to be methodical and meticulous
