About the role

Within the overall business, to run and facilitate laboratory activity, ensure analysis results are updated in system promptly, verify and monitoring on external testing reports and cost, 


Key responsibilities include

  • Laboratory Data management
    • Sending of samples to an external laboratory
    • Verify lab reports and invoices from an external lab
    • Data entry into the system
  • New Product and Transfer Recipe trials: To set up master data
    • Evaluation with Process and Product Development
    • Update and communication of evaluation results 
    • Sending of samples to Product Development or Transferring Site QA
    • Follow up on final disposition with Product Development or Transferring Site QA
    • Monitor on the new product status
  • Laboratory AnalysisPeriodical support on internal laboratory analysis during peak period or absence of lab specialist
  • SAP SystemSetup of relevant master data during change management (Change in certificate profile, specification, sample requirements, etc.)
  • Shelf-life studiesSupport on shelf-life studies
  • Sustainability Programs: Periodical check of bookkeeping of RSPO, Fairtrade, UTZ, RFA, Bonsucro
  • Other tasks delegated by QA Manager/Quality Supervisor


About you

  • Minimum diploma in a related field such as Food Science, Chemical Process Engineering, etc
  • Preferably with 1-2 years’ work experience in the laboratory and food industry.
  • Positive attitude
  • Is responsible and conscientious
  • Has the flexibility and ability to take up various QA job functions
  • Has initiative and good team spirit
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Needs to be methodical and meticulous
  • Proficient in Microsoft Offices
