About the role
- As a Food Safety Executive, you will be part of our Quality Assurance Team and collaborating closely with Production, Maintenance, Supply Chain and R&D teams to ensure the safety and quality of the products. The core mission of the role is to prevent and resolve food safety risks through risk assessment, verification and validation of control measures, root cause analysis and training. This role offers exposure to the industry’s food safety standards, drives the food safety culture of the organization and makes a positive impact on customers’ satisfaction and trust.
Key responsibilities include
- Food Safety
- Lead investigation of customer complaints, food safety related issues, verification of CAPA closure and improvement actions
- Plan and facilitate internal food safety audit
- Gap analysis against corporate standards (food safety related) and site implementation
- Support on the implementation of Food Safety Management System
- Verification and validation of CCP conformance
- Supports on Foreign Bodies Toolbox implementation
- Develop quality culture behavior in factory through training and knowledge sharing
- Packaging Material Quality
- Evaluate the quality of incoming packaging material
- Issue of non-conformance reports and following up on supplier’s root cause analysis and CAPA
- Member for Local Product Committee for packaging material
- Product Quality
- Product releasing
- Verification for hypercare products
- Increase shopfloor awareness on performance and area of improvement
- People Development
- Trainer on GMP, food safety and allergen training
- Trainer to junior executive on HACCP system (CCP, OPRP, PRP)
- Other tasks assigned by direct manager
About you
- Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Biology/Chemistry/Food Technology/Biochemistry
- Minimum 5 years working experience in QC/QA/regulatory in food industry
- In-depth knowledge in food safety standards requirement (HACCP, FSSC 22000) and Food Safety Management System
- Communication in English, able to speak and understand Mandarin Chinese is a plus
- Knowledge in SAP is a plus
- Travel requirements: Not required
- Others: Knowledge in chocolate products/fats is a plus
- Experienced in running internal audit program
- Good analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Trainer for GMP and Food Safety topics
- Highly motivated and able to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Good stakeholder management and communication skill
- Demonstrates a proactive, resourceful and meticulous approach in identifying and resolving challenges
- Able to adapt to changes while maintaining a focus on quality standards
