About the role

  • The Finance Business Partner supports and challenges the FM business owners in both strategic and operational commercial decision-making. The role plays a key role in steering the FM business owners to achieve business strategy & KPIs. The role has to proactively provide insights on business risks and opportunities and their related financial impact.
  • The Finance Business Partner is also responsible for the business’s short- and long-term financial performance alongside the FM business owners. The role is required to drive initiatives aimed at improving financial performance including setting up / optimizing commercial business flows, working with cross-functional workstreams/teams.

 

Key responsibilities include

Business Partnering

  • Responsible for the financial performance of the FM business division, support business owners to achieve KPIs
  • Finance interface to FM business owners
  • Support the business owners in preparing and determining business objectives, strategies, sales pitches, and tactics
  • Provide meaningful decision support to business owners whilst influencing and challenging commercial decisions
  • Partner with FP&A to provide facts and figures related to the financial performance of the business, support analysis of the financial performance of the business with FP&A, conclude key drivers, share analysis with the business owners, translate analysis into possible actions for improvements
  • Lead business financial performance discussion in meetings, propose, support conclude action plan, lead and coordinate projects/initiatives, follow up, track and steer business owners to deliver
  • Proactively identify business risks and opportunities, assess, flag & highlight the related financial impact, work with business owners to mitigate, safeguard and achieve desired business results
  • Develop business cases, derive business assumptions, propose, offer/counter offer commercial terms to improve or safeguard financial performance
  • Support in developing sales / commercial pitches with business owners
  • Partner, align, and strategizes commercial negotiations, margins with Pricing and/or Sourcing Finance BP
  • Alignment of regional and local business strategies and approaches with Country Finance BPs (Japan, China, India, Indonesia)

Financial Planning (MTP, Budget, and Forecasting)

  • Challenge/derive assumptions for MTPs, Budgets, and Forecasts with the business owners in line with business plan/strategies,
  • Align/conclude assumptions with Country Finance BP
  • Work with FP&A to conclude financial planning
  • Support FP&A & OSCO Finance BP in analysis, MTP, budgeting, and forecasting by proactively sharing business/commercial insights and decisions

  1. Supports the FM business owners in decision support while influencing and challenging commercial terms aim at improving the financial performance of the business
  2. Provides insights on financial improvement opportunities, prioritizes them, and work with the FM business owner to achieve them
  3. Assess, flag & highlight business risks and opportunities with their related financial impact
  4. Develop business cases, derive business assumptions, propose, offer/counter offer commercial terms to improve or safeguard financial performance
  5. Support in developing sales / commercial pitches with business owners
  • Country Finance Business Partners
  1. Alignment of regional and local business strategies and approaches with Country Finance BPs (Japan, China, India, Indonesia)
  2. Support country commercial initiatives, provide regional insights and guidance on commercial terms and/or negotiation
  3. Identify business risks and opportunities, assess financial impact together with Country Finance BP, flag and highlight to regional business owners or regional finance teams
  • Regional FP&A, OSCO FBP, Pricing, Sourcing FBP
  1. Support FP&A & OSCO Finance BP in analysis, MTP, budgeting, and forecasting by proactively sharing business/commercial insights and decisions
  2. PartExternal stakeholders near and drive regional KPIs achievement (DSO, forecast accuracy for inventory for eg.)
  3. Partner, align, and strategizes commercial negotiations, margins with Pricing and/or Sourcing Finance BP

External stakeholders

  • Consultants Support strategic exercise/market study when necessary

 

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting / Business / Finance
  • 6 – 8 years of regional experience in business controlling with strong business acumen
  • Experience in a multinational company, preferably in B2B / food industries / FMCG / fast-paced environment
  • Able to establish relationships with a dynamic team and senior business stakeholders
  • Manufacturing and/or trading business model
  • Financial controlling / modeling
  • Commercial controlling
  • High dedication, drive to deliver
