About the role

  • Director, Product Innovation, Global Projects is responsible to lead & deliver a global innovation program of coating, filling & beverages. This person will manage a team of product experts to execute and deliver global innovation projects.
  • This person will also manage application labs in the Global Innovation Center @ Singapore.

 

Key responsiilities include

Lead global innovation program on coating, filling & beverage (30%)

  • Formulate the strategy of global innovation program on coating, filling & beverage to drive the business growth in this category
  • Engage the leadership team in business and functions to gain the required support on global innovation program
  • Plan and manage required resources to deliver the innovation program

Manage a team to deliver global projects (50%)

  • Manage a team of product experts to deliver global innovation projects on time in full
  • Engage cross-region and cross-functional teams to provide required support to deliver the global projects
  • Plan and manage required resources to deliver the innovation projects

Manage application labs in Global Innovation Center @ Singapore (20%)

  • Manage operations in Global Innovation Center @ Singapore
  • Plan and manage required resources to run Global Innovation Center @ Singapore

Able to travel a minimum of 20% of the time

 

About you 

  • Master or PhD degree level in a Science or Engineering discipline, or equivalent, preferably in Food Science & Technology
  • Minimal 12 years of experience in a relevant role, and minimal 6 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Fluent in English. A second language is a plus.
  • An experienced product expert in cocoa based coating, filling and/or beverage category, with good knowledge of product application, formulation, processing and ingredients.
  • Good business acumen in markets across the global, or minimum in a specific region (AMEA, WEU, CEE, NAM, LATAM).
  • Good understanding of consumer and customer centric design of product innovation in a B2B business environment. Experience in Food CPG or Retailer product innovation is a bonus.
