About the role

The position can be broken down into 2 key areas:

  • Responsible for the management of the cocoa butter and cocoa liquor sales portfolios, risk position, and coordination of Asia’s supply and demand.
  • Manage key customer/ distributor/ inter-co relationships for cocoa ingredients, coordinate with internal stakeholders to balance service levels and manage our combined ratio risk position

 

Key responsibilities include

  • Support Combined Ratio Manager on the execution of regional strategy for the sourcing and selling of cocoa butter and cocoa liquor to third-party customers, distributors, and inter-co requirements.
  • Analyze cocoa products supply and demand trends, develop sourcing/trading strategies, and support internal sales teams on market fundamentals
  • Monitor product availability positions and provide updates to the Regional Management team on risks and opportunities.
  • Manage key external (country and account coverage) and internal relationships with the overall goal to maximize profitability and value on a long term sustainable basis
  • Internal stakeholders:
    • Senior Combined Ratio Manager Asia: Execute regional and global sales strategy for butter and liquor
    • Pricing, Position Management, Risk Leads: Confirm trades, forecast forward risk exposure, align & update pricing
    • Powders Sales Team, Country Sales Leads, Corporate Account Sales Team, Inter-co Cocoa Buyers: Lead & coordinate pricing, share S&D info, and general support for all butter and liquor sales
    • Planning: Contribute and Lead budgeting forecast and portfolio
  • External stakeholders:
    • Cocoa Traders: Execute purchase and sales transactions, gather market intelligence
    • Key Customers, Distributors: Negotiate Sales Contracts, demand forecasting

 

About you

  • Bachelor / Master Degree in Business or similar studies
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years' experience in commodities B2B sales; risk management using futures contracts
  • Knowledge or specific business understanding: Technical Analysis and Market language
  • Technologically savvy
  • Knowledgeable in MS Office
  • Able to multitask and a good communicator
  • Fluent English
