About the role
- This position will be in charge of all the administration systems for POKA, and MES. The POKA system is a single integrated software platform that can empower and guide the factory operators in the function of the production process that they might not understand. MES is a Manufacturing Execution System is software designed to optimize the manufacturing process by monitoring, tracking, documenting, and controlling the entire production lifecycle, it helps boost the efficiency of production and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) by providing transparency and real-time analyses
- The person is responsible for coordinating and supporting the pilot project by integrating the different departments such as Production, Engineering & Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Quality Assurance to increase and facilitate communication in the organization of operational knowledge for production.
- The incumbent supports the deployment of technical training initiatives using a new collaborative communication solution, eg, POKA (Industrial Mobile Application), & MES (Manufacturing Execution System)
- He/she is required to understand all the necessary operations in Barry Callebaut Chocolate Factory, to ensure the success of integrating the existing process and procedures into the software.
- This individual will also be required to monitor the usage of the software on the shopfloor regularly, to garner more support for the operators to assist them with the daily work
- This role will be reporting to the Continuous Improvement Manager, and will also assist in the other miscellaneous tasks; such as time study and data collection for the factory usage.
Key responsibilities include
- Assist in the creation of the training workshops and compile operational processes on the POKA tool & MES
- Tracking of the usage in the POKA system & MES
- Established a training schedule by coordinating with the knowledge holders based on the training guides (information gathering, validation of manufacturing processes, documentation and organization of knowledge)
- Conduct detailed assessments of existing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
- Collect and analyze performance metrics and data to support decision-making and measure the impact of improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and present reports and dashboards to communicate progress, results, and insights to stakeholders.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and gather feedback on process improvements and support other operational-related activities
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies as needed.
- Ensure that process improvements are standardized and integrated into organizational practices
About you
- ITE or Diploma in Business Administration, Engineering, Management, or any related field are welcome
- Proven experience in operations & process improvement, project management, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high agility to understand complex issues
- Proficiency in data analysis software such as Power BI, and Microsoft Office Suite such as Excel, Visio
- Trained or Certified in Lean, Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt will be preferred
- General knowledge of chocolate-making and molding processes will be an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to present confidently in front of crowds and operation staff from multicultural backgrounds;
- Able to work independently to lead and manage projects effectively.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work in a dynamic and changing environment
