About the role

The key responsibility of this role is to be the reliable partner of the salesforce, particularly the levels of directors and VPs, where potential and strategic cases are being looked at. The role needs to be equipped with the same competency of a pricing executive and also is able to display critical and strategic thinking with deep analytical skill sets. The role is required to be the first channel to the directors and VPs in the regional headquarter on complex, strategic and ambiguous cases. The role is expected to proactively partner with business and functions to support hunting activities. The role should support the Head of Pricing to identify and close process gaps and inefficiencies, identify business opportunities and risk for internal stakeholders. This role also serves as the deputy to the Head of Pricing and can be delegated with the relevant authority when necessary.

 

Key responsibilities include

 

Business Partnering/Support

  • Support sales directors and VPs on strategic business opportunities through pricing simulation, deriving profitability impact, analyzing the business case, etc.
  • Partner with multiple stakeholders such as Sourcing, R&D, and OSCO to deliver the high-quality value proposition

Process Improvements

  • Identify process gaps and inefficiencies and work with internal stakeholders for sustainable improvement
  • Critically evaluate and assess process lapse, and to minimize/avoid the negative financial impact

Regional/Global Project Support/Adhoc

  • Support regional and/or global initiatives
  • Support Head of Pricing to achieve value-adding business partnering and steering business profitability
  • Ad-hoc analysis and reporting for decision making the purpose

Stakeholders

  • Sourcing / Procurement: Partner with Sourcing to establish raw material price proposition for cases under study
  • R&D: Collaborate with R&D to provide the economic sense on recipe matching
  • Sales: Support closely the sales directors and VPs in the regional headquarter in price simulation, value proposition, and analysis of profitability impact
  • Production/Supply Chain Management/OSCO/Site Controllers: Coordinate with production/supply chain on estimating realistic cost and service structure for the strategic cases on hand

 

About you

  • Minimum University Degree in Finance / Accounting / Mathematics / Statistics
  • At least 8 years of professional working experience in a multinational environment with regional exposure
  • Experience in financial analysis, product costing or business controlling. Experience in advance profit margin analysis and evaluation would be a plus
  • Able to establish good relationships with a diverse regional team
  • Able to communicate effectively in English both written and verbal
  • Experience in people management is desirable
  • The candidate is expected to be analytical, proactive, self-driven and possesses excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of trade terminology and concepts
  • Good understanding of sales contract life cycle, contract pricing negotiations
  • Good interpersonal skills to manage and coordinate with multiple internal stakeholders
  • Competent in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word
  • Hands-on SAP knowledge is a plus
  • Willing to take on more responsibility as part of learning and development
