The Finance BP OSCO Decoration acts as the “financial eyes” in the plant for both the local plant management team and the regional OSCO and Finance organization (GAR in particular). In this respect, this function partners with various stakeholders in the organization and is the right hand of the and business partner of the Plant Manager, the local OSCO management team and Group Reporting in Zurich.

 

The Finance BP OSCO Decoration is accountable and fully responsible for analyzing and ensuring the accuracy of the local financial results versus targets for operational (in)efficiencies, material usage variances, direct and indirect factory costs, etc. and the compliance with the Accounting and Reporting Rules (mainly accounting, reporting and IFRS wise).

 

 

The Finance BP OSCO’s main responsibilities are:

  • Developing, analyzing, and presenting financial results to the Plant leadership team
  • Monitoring and evaluating performance against budget or forecast, identifying risks and opportunities, and reviewing results with cost center budget holders in the site
  • Follow-up of FI-CO light project and soft-integration initiatives
  • Identifying or supporting cost savings initiatives or performance improvement initiatives
  • Participating in the creation of the strategy for the site
  • Creating the annual budget and periodic forecasts for the site
  • Supervise the implementation of the new IFRS principles in cooperation with Group Reporting
  • Perform a temporary sub consolidation of the Indian and Canadian legal entities into IT06 reporting (currently de-consolitation process in place)
  • Acting as BP for internal and external stakeholders (e.g. KPMG)

 

As a business partner to the Plant Manager and the management team, the Finance BP OSCO Decoration  has to

(i)            drive change,

(ii)           continuously recommend scenarios to increase efficiency or avoid inefficiencies,

(iii)          be solutions oriented and

(iv)          materially contribute to the achievement of the business goals and targets of the plant.

 

In this respect, it is absolutely needed to have a deep conceptual knowledge of operational flows to

(i)            detect in an early stage potential margin/performance leakage and

(ii)           improve productivity and drive efficiencies.

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS OR COMMENTS

Need to co-represent the company and plant towards external and internal stakeholders and liaise with counterparts to support audits and other activities such as grants, subsidies, cash contributions   

 

 

MARKETING THE ROLE

 The Finance BP Osco Decoration  is the right hand of the Finance Manage  and a key stakeholder Finance Teams, hence participates in local Management meeting and various functional and project management committees.

 

The Finance BP Osco Decoration  is accountable for the sub-consolidated financial information of DDO Group allowing the local Management team of DDO to make the right decisions short term, mid term and strategically.  In this respect, this role has full responsibility (effective, timely and accurate) for reporting, analyzing and reconciling the financial results versus various targets and projects.

 

The Finance BP Osco Decoration  acts as a business partner to the DDO  Local Management Teams and continuously drives change and recommends solutions in supporting the achievement of the business goals and targets for the reporting unit IT06. Consequently this role is “key” in achieving the target with respect to commercial contribution margin, OSCO efficiency, cost leadership, margin leakage, material usage variances, direct and indirect costs, supporting decisions,  

It is absolutely required to have (i) strong accounting and reporting principles (ii) strong commitment and proactive attitude (iii) management expertise and ability to steer decisions and changes in a fast moving and dynamic environment

 

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in either in a large corporate environment. (Nice to have : with 2-5 years team management and leadership experience)

 

TECHNICAL / FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent in Accounting or Finance
  • Cross-business and business acumen skills
  • Ability to understand the business model(s) of the organization and its link to strategy
  • Strong communication skills and high level of professionalism.
  • Able to communicate big picture drivers of business results as well as detailed variance analysis.
  • Experience with Navision and/or SAP is an advantage along with prior working experience with a BI/Reporting/Consolidation tool (i.e. Hyperion, BOFC) a plus
