The Regional Warehouse and Transportation Manager will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operations of multiple warehouses and solid transportation systems within NA including full carrier program management. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills to ensure seamless coordination of warehousing and their solid transportation activities/distribution.
Key responsibilities include:
Regional Warehouse Management
- Oversee end to end warehouse operations across North America, ensuring safety, quality, environmental compliance, and long term strategic execution.
- Implement and optimize warehouse processes to maximize 3PL performance and minimize operational costs.
- Lead the North America inventory counting process, including stock in transit, statutory audits, and management of returnable assets.
- Serve as business process owner for the inbound/outbound warehouse tendering process (USD 60M+ spend), including approval workflows requiring senior leadership alignment.
- Ensure all warehousing activities adhere to internal policies and meet agreed performance metrics (KPIs, service levels, financial results, etc.).
Regional Transportation Coordination
- Develop and execute regional transportation strategies to ensure timely, cost effective, and safe movement of goods across the network.
- Collaborate with transportation providers and Sourcing to negotiate contracts, manage service levels, and drive continuous improvement programs.
- Serve as business process owner for regional transportation services (USD 50M+ spend), including required escalations to senior leadership.
Process Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives using data analysis, best practices, and performance trends to drive efficiency and cost savings.
Budget Management
- Develop, manage, and monitor budgets for warehousing and transportation operations, partnering closely with Finance to optimize resource allocation.
Stakeholder & Executive Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for escalations and manage senior internal stakeholders, including participation in CAPEX committees linked to tendering decisions.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in food warehousing, with a strong understanding of industry‑specific standards.
- Advanced English proficiency (B2+ or higher) with the ability to communicate effectively across regional and global teams.
- Deep knowledge of warehousing and transportation best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in the North American market.
- Proven experience managing multi‑site operations within a complex, fast‑paced supply chain environment.
- A critical thinker with strong attention to detail; able to work independently, make data‑driven decisions, and manage competing priorities.
- Hands-on experience with WMS and TMS platforms, with the ability to leverage technology for operational excellence.
- Working knowledge of SAP AC3/PRD/VIM or similar ERP systems.
- Strong familiarity with major North American warehouse providers and 3PL industry dynamics.
