Under the management of the senior Supply planning manager, the Supply planner is responsible for the regional balancing for a specific product scope, with focus on the short term horizon and execution activities.

He/ she will oversee the changes required on the short term, using the overall network, to balance the demand and supply to best serve the external customers, as well as the internal chocolate network. He/ she will be responsible for replenishment for imported Cocoa products, deployment within the region, short term issue resolution and will work closely with the chocolate teams, production plants, customer service, sourcing, import export and logistics teams, subco, beans, as well as other key business stakeholders. Additionally, the Supply Planners will participate in key initiatives and projects to support continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Main contact between Sales, Customer Service and Factories for shortages on the short term horizon, providing solutions for any supply disruption
  • Ensuring the execution of the plans for their specific product scope - contact with suppliers, Import Teams, Warehouse and Sourcing
  • Guarantee planning and information timely shared with Sourcing for contract coverage respecting suppliers lead times and requirements
  • Organize timely replenishment and create the required POs for imported flows with external suppliers or internal BC entities, in line with the planning guidance coming from the Operational planners
  • Work with the suppliers and global logistics teams to get accurate visibility on the inbounds for the ETA information, so it can be used to anticipate and resolve shortages on the short term
  • Manage the distribution within the regional network across plants and warehouses, and manage the daily disruptions to solve immediate orders and shortages
  • Monitor the factory production plan adherence and follow-up scheduling and execution, to ensure the production plan is respected, agree on action plans in case of gaps, as part of the weekly S&OE cycle
  • Work closely with local scheduling teams/ factories to monitor short term schedule changes to maintain optimized transportation across the network

 

About you:

 

 

  • 3-5 years of experience in the Supply Chain/Operations function in a manufacturing environment
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and with previous experience with SAP, OMP and other planning software beneficial

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
  • APICS certification or proven work experience
  • English
  • Intercultural exposure and experience, being comfortable in international environments
