The Regional Asset Manager is responsible for implementing functional asset care roadmaps in the region/ sites, and tracking progress to optimize asset reliability and cost across the region.

The role works closely with Manufacturing sites , Engineering, QA, Planning, COE’s and Continuous Improvement teams to ensure effective execution of projects and initiatives that drive asset performance. It supports the adoption of global standards, processes, and tools within the region, collaborating with site teams and subject matter experts to build capability, strengthen governance, and embed best practices in a sustainable way.

The role manages and tracks regional asset performance improvement projects, analyzes loss intelligence and performance data, and supports sites with problem solving and capability development. The role contributes to the deployment of digital platforms such as Maximo (CMMS) and MES, ensuring consistent application of standards and reliable data for decision-making.

The role works under the strategic direction of the Global Asset Management team, ensuring that global strategies, standards, and policies are translated into effective implementation at site and regional level. This role provides feedback and insights from the factories to the global teams, contributing to continuous improvement of standards, processes, and governance. By acting as the regional link between global asset management and site execution, the Regional Asset Manager helps to ensure consistency, accelerate capability building, and close the loop between strategy, governance, and operational results.

This position also plays a key role in the regional rollout of BC’s Operating System (BCOS), with a specific focus on the Progressive Maintenance (PM) pillar.

Key responsibilities include: 

General PMO

  • Manage and track regional asset performance projects & roadmaps, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and aligned to business priorities.
  • Analyze loss intelligence and asset performance data to identify improvement opportunities; lead structured problem-solving with site teams and SMEs.
  • Support sites in implementing the functional roadmap for asset care, adopting global standards and governance processes, translating them into practical regional execution and pulls in other functions where needed
  • Build capability at site level through coaching, training, and deployment of best practices in collaboration with SME communities and BCOS coaches.
  • Act as a hub for regional problem solving and knowledge-sharing, fostering a culture of data-driven decision making and continuous improvement.

Collaboration & Governance

  • Work closely with Maintenance , Engineering, QA, Planning, CI, and Manufacturing site teams to implement asset reliability initiatives.
  • Team member of the Global Asset Management Team and partners with Process Excellence and COEs to validate and scale innovation pilots (e.g., asset health monitoring, smart factory projects) across sites in the region.
  • Contribute to regional governance structures, ensuring consistent execution of global asset management policies (e.g., CMMS, inventory, asset lifecycle management).
  • Support audits, risk assessments, and compliance activities related to asset lifecycle and reliability, maintaining alignment with global SHE, Engineering, and Sustainability standards.

Systems & Tools

  • Support deployment and standardization of Maximo, MES, and other digital platforms at site and regional level, ensuring data accuracy and effective usage.
  • Collaborate with SME communities to develop and improve PM and PdM programs, driving improvements in safety, reliability, quality, availability, and efficiency.
  • Facilitate the use of digital learning and training platforms (e.g., Poka, BC Academy) to accelerate skill-building and knowledge transfer across the region.

BCOS (BC Operating System / TPM )

  • Support the regional rollout of the Progressive Maintenance (PM) pillar under BCOS.
  • Participate in maturity assessments, benchmarking, and Gemba initiatives to accelerate the region’s Go4Zero ambition.
  • Ensure site teams deliver on annual productivity commitments through capability building, problem-solving support, and embedding CI ways of working (RCA, 5S, team boards, daily management).
  • Partners up with BCOS coaches & Finance BP’s demonstrating impact on reliability ( OEE/OTIF ) and costs

About you:

 

    • Master’s Degree in an Engineering discipline (must have)
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or asset management, preferably in continuous process manufacturing and at least 5 years managing multi sites
    • Flexibility to travel up to 50% of the time to foster collaboration and support towards the sites , and assure connection with the Core.
    • Fluent English (must have) and one of the other languages of the region (Portuguese/French) (advantageous)
    • Strong project management skills with experience leading multiple initiatives across sites.
    • Experience working within global governance frameworks and translating standards into effective regional/site execution.
    • Skilled in capability building, coaching, and embedding best practices at site level.
    • Familiarity with Lean / CI tools and methods (RCA, 5S, Visual Management, FMEA, etc.).
    • Comfortable at the Gemba, with a hands-on, practical leadership style.
    • Strong analytical skills, with experience using performance data, loss intelligence, and digital tools (IoT, AI, predictive maintenance) to drive decisions.
    • Proven experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and structured problem-solving.
    • Solid knowledge of equipment reliability, spare parts strategies, and asset performance management.
    • Hands-on experience with CMMS platforms (preferably Maximo) and supporting digital systems (MES, Excel, AutoCAD).
