Under the management of the Co Manufacturing Manager, the Co Manufacturing Planner(s) are responsible for all demand and supply chain scheduling and execution for our (8) third party manufacturers in North America. This person will work closely with multiple departments to ensure that customer requirements are met, on time and in full.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Plan & execute production capacity of subcontracted finished goods, daily process which requires close contact with Supply Planning as well as some internal BC manufacturing locations.
  • Plan and replenish all materials to ensure the plan can be executed, by location. Daily task that requires SAP experience as well as the ability to reach out and work with our local BC scheduling Logistics sites.
  • Coordinate subcontracting activities with internal departments, local demand and central planning, sales/customer service, sourcing, pricing, quality, marketing and logistics. Mostly on a weekly bases as plans are handed down from Supply Planning to the individual Co Mans.
  • Build and maintain relationships with co-manufacturers. Weekly process through conference calls reviewing production and future capabilities and special projects.
  • Communicate internally any shortages, delays or issues, this is done daily mainly with the Co man team.
  • Proactively work with local planners to offset capacity issues at BC plants by providing subcontracting options. Weekly calls to walk through the plan as well as discuss short term bottlenecks and issues.
  • Work closely with subcontracting manager on product launches, changes and new developing projects for external production. Weekly / Monthly process as new projects and changes occur.
  • Responsible for the execution and the reconciliation of the CHEP pallet accounts. Weekly process to ensure every pallet / shipment is accounted for.

 

About you:

 

  • Effective English speaker, excellent communicator
  • Ability to work with deadlines
  • Associates degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience in a food environment
  • Experience working in SAP and MRP, as well as proven math skills
  • Computer Skills (Proficient use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, SAP)+
  • Detail & results oriented, Effective Team Leader
  • Ability to evaluate priorities and react as issues arise
  • Must be Customer focused, building respectful business partnerships
