About the role:
A Supervisor, Accounting & Reporting oversees and manages the daily accounting operations and financial reporting for an organization. This role involves supervising a team of accountants, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and providing financial analysis to support decision-making. They also play a key role in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures, coordinating audits, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. 


Key responsibilities include:


Supervising Accounting Staff:
•    Assigning tasks, setting deadlines, and ensuring team members adhere to company policies and procedures.

•    Providing guidance and support to the team.
•    Conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback.

 

Financial Reporting:
•    Preparing and reviewing financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements).
•    Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

•    Analyzing financial data and providing insights for decision-making.
•    Developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures.

 

Compliance and Audits:
•    Ensuring compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
•    Coordinating and facilitating internal and external audits.

•    Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and tax laws.

 

Process Improvement:
•    Identifying areas for process improvement and efficiency gains in the accounting department.
•    Implementing best practices for accounting and reporting.

•    Utilizing technology to enhance accounting processes.


Other Responsibilities:
•    Collaborating with other departments on financial matters.

•    Reviewing and approving accounting documents.
•    Participating in the month-end and year-end close processes. 


About you:

•    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance;
•    Advanced English;
•    Knowledge of IFRS 16 / IFRS 15 / IFRS 9;

•    At least 10 years of experience in the accounting field;
•    Solid experience with accounting closing routines / reporting / audits;
•    Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.

•    Costing – SAP module;
•    Advanced Excel;
•    Power BI knowledge is a plus;

•    Experience with SAP R3;
•    Active CRC (Accounting Professional Registration).
