About the role:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations and projects for production.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, GMP, and HACCP requirements.
- Supervise Change Over Coordinators, Shift Coordinators, and Operators.
- Audit shift performance across molding, retail, CCC, and receiving areas, including startups and changeovers.
- Investigate safety concerns and conduct regular site inspections.
- Monitor and improve line performance based on daily speed standards.
- Review finished products for quality, packaging, and code compliance.
- Drive waste reduction, rework, and yield improvement initiatives.
- Investigate customer complaints, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of departmental equipment.
- Maintain KPI tracking and visual management boards.
- Identify training needs and ensure employee training and cross-training, including agency staff.
- Evaluate employee performance, manage timecards, handle injury reports, and support hiring processes.
About you:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience working in a food-manufacturing environment.
- Minimum two (2) years of people leadership experience.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time on a concrete floor.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Long periods of computer usage; finger dexterity and hand movement for use of keyboard and mouse, repetitive motion.
- Kneel, squat, bend, stoop; frequently.
- Push/pull up to 50 lbs using assisted equipment.
- Ability to walk up and down stairs, frequently.
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures.
- Noise level can exceed .85 decibels.
