About the role
This position will be responsible for leading and optimizing all production operations within the nut processing plant, ensuring consistent quality, efficiency, and compliance with food safety standards. Our Production Manager will be also driving a culture of continuous improvement across all product lines: solid nut products (e.g., roasted, salted), nut pastes (butters, spreads), and liquid derivatives (oils, extracts).
Key Responsibilities
- • Plan, organize, and oversee day-to-day production activities across multiple product formats (solid, paste, liquid).
- • Ensure alignment with quality and food safety standards (HACCP, BRC, ISO 22000, etc.).
- • Lead and develop production teams to achieve operational goals.
- • Implement and sustain continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar methodologies.
- • Identify and eliminate inefficiencies through root cause analysis, standardization, and process optimization.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Maintenance, Quality, R&D, Logistics) to ensure seamless operations.
- • Optimize equipment utilization and implement preventive maintenance strategies.
- • Monitor production KPIs and generate reports to support data-driven decisions.
- • Champion safety, hygiene, and 5S workplace standards.
- • Drive cost-saving initiatives and productivity enhancements.
- • Foster innovation and encourage team involvement in improvement projects.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field.
- 3–5 years of proven experience in a food production or nut processing environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of roasting, grinding, blending, emulsifying, and filling processes.
- Solid background in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, Kaizen).
- Experience with food safety systems and certifications.
- Skilled in leading and motivating production teams.
- Proficient in data analysis, problem solving, and performance tracking.
- ERP/MES system experience is desirable.
- Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
