About the role

The PD Technical Lifecycle Manager manages the Technical Lifecycle function within a regional scope. Leads a team of PD Technical Lifecycle administrator’s in-line with the overall R&D roadmap and business strategy.  The Technical Lifecycle Manager acts as the analytical engine of R&D by analyzing data from different angles and delivering KPI reporting. Ensures that the entire recipe and procedure documentation is up-to-date. Manages the product portfolio and facilitates the knowledge exchange between Master Data and other R&D functions. This role drives continuous improvement for our product portfolio to reach cost-saving objectives and improve overall efficiency. The PD Technical Lifecycle Manager develops and supervises PD Administrators; provides guidance and support on more complex activities and key issues.

 

Key responsibilities include

  • Be in charge of product portfolio management, collaborate with the Product Experts, and ensure global coordination by acting as the synapse between Master Data and Product Experts & Customer R&D respectively. Record and maintain information related to the R&D projects – such as SKU reduction, project closing, suppress references & follow-ups – in the system. Drive continuous improvement for our product portfolio to reach cost-saving objectives and improve overall efficiency. Edit and administer the entire recipe and procedure documentation. Analyze and deliver KPI reporting. Provide data support for Product Experts in regards to specific requirements and set-ups for instance when transforming a newly developed standard recipe into mass balance version. Inform Product Experts about changes in the way of working. Ensure a simple and concise communication of complex matters. Define and maintain R&D processes, tools, databases, and plant capabilities. Support change and project management efforts for instance when changing PACK codes, declarations, cocoa solids, or technical sheets. Manage changes related to product & packaging. Interact with Master Data to ensure proper maintenance of SAP.
  • The PD Technical Lifecycle Manager should mainly supervise and/or execute the following set of activities in line with the scope of the Job Family.
    • Functional Activities
      • Perform All Required Tasks to Assign Final Name and Close Project
      • Prepare, Participate to and Follow-Up on Product Change Committee
      • Request and Obtain Certifications where needed – e.g. Request Kosher Certificates to QA
      • Generate, Analyse and Share Reportings, e.g. Generate Weekly Reports, Finance Reports
      • Analyze SKUs and Update Portfolio in Accordance with Findings and in close collaboration with Master Data, e.g. Suppress SKUs with No Sales
      • Evaluate Internal & Cross-Functional Processes and Tools, Define To Be Situation and Perform Internal Projects to Optimize Current Situation
      • Analyze Systems and Define Improvement Actions, e.g. Act as System Power User for SAP, Salesforce
      • Prepare, Participate to and Follow-Up on Portfolio Review Meeting
      • Give Training to Other Department on the recipe book and E-Catalog
    • Managerial Activities
      • Develop employees by creating individual learning plans
      • Drive continuous improvement initiatives reprocesses, technologies, and organization
      • Mentoring and coaching employees to ensure team effectiveness
      • Promote information and knowledge sharing with others
  • Support change and project management efforts for instance when changing PACK codes, declarations, cocoa solids, or technical sheets.  Manage changes related to product & packaging.

About you

  • Bachelor / Master Degree in Business Administration, Food Science or similar
  • 5+ years of experience in the food industry
  • Experience in Project Management & Leadership
  • Outstanding analytical & presentation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and database management
  • Good working knowledge of SAP
  • Fluent Business English
