About the role 

 

The Regional Manager of Projects, manages all aspects of single or multiple projects, from start to finish. Making sure all projects are completed on time, within budget and according to all technical standards and processes.  The Regional Manager can also be responsible for the study, preparation and realization of an assigned strategic investment project.  This role is reporting to the  Regional Director of Projects to ensure that the global and regional strategic investments, for capacity expansions, are well prepared and executed. Guarantees that the highest available standards are applied in supporting the business growth and to all internal customers.

 

Key responsibilities include

 

Project preparation and information phase

  • Performs detailed analysis of required processes, defines setup and equipment required. Communicates with all relevant stakeholders on the definitions and project charter.
  • Coordinates, assists and guides single large or multiple project teams at one given time.
  • Establishes autonomously the required project charter in close cooperation with the process, supply chain, R&D and other relevant parties.
  • Safeguards the Engineering and QA standards during the project design phase.
  • Establishes RFQ’s for procurement of all equipment and manages the procurement activities in close cooperation with sourcing.
  • Establishes the optimum Detailed Time Schedule (DTS) and Financial follow-up data, to meet the required project objectives.
  • Will always seek the best available solution for a given challenge, joining the technical, environmental and economical requirements.
  • Organizes and leads project steerco’s, on a planned base.
  • Monitors activities, allocate resources and assigns tasks to ensure targets are met.

 

Project execution and commissioning phase

  • Manages the project execution, after IP approval. Remains within the agreed timeline and budget.
  • Ensures adherence to the local and highest safety rules, during the project execution.
  • Manages all project on-site activities and resources, internal and external.
  • Reports frequently and correctly to all stakeholders.
  • Executes all project related activities in close agreement and cooperation with site Management.

 

General Engineering supporting and ad hoc activities

  • Pro-actively engages in the use, promotion, training, definition and follow-up of the project documentation standards. Including all IT related project activities.
  • Challenges existing standards and proposes possible improvements, working closely with Process, CI and QA.
  • Provides technical support when and where possible.
  • Follows technical market evolutions, collects and organizes its documentation for the BC community at large.
  • Exchanges actively information with peers, be it local, regional or on corporate levels.

 

About you 

 

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, equivalent or similar acquired by experience.
  • At least 8-10 years of relevant project experience (Green and Brown field projects), preferably within a food industrial environment.
  • Project Management skills or qualification.
  • Regional mobility is a key requirement.

 

Skills & competencies

  • Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills using 5 Why’s, parato, fishbone diagram.
  • 2D CAD proficient, 3D CAD knowledge, MSProject (or equivalent) proficient.
  • Excellent Financial analysis and reporting experience.
  • Perfect English, verbal and written.
  • Strong technical skills to understand all core processes.
  • Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Stakeholder Management experience.
  • Strong coordination and organizing skills, with the ability to prioritize and act proactively.
  • Excellent time management skills, including the ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong can do attitude and problem-solving skills.
