General Responsibilities

 

The Process and CI Engineer provides process engineering support to reduce lead times, implementation/commissioning services and maintenance support of manufacturing processes and equipment to improve efficiency, costs effectiveness, safety and product quality in the production streams.  Provides supports to the management team in all aspects related to the full deployment of the CI implementation, deployment of standardised best practice methodologies for the site.  The Process and CI Engineer evaluates and recommends new process procedures to optimize OEE performance of the assets and to improve manufacturing techniques.

Technical & Competency Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead kaizen improvement events.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete cost savings projects.
  • Strong analytical skills using tools such as statistics, downtime tracking, mechanical history, project planning to identify opportunity areas.
  • Microsoft Office skills such as PowerPoint, Project, Excel and Word.
  • Ability to quickly come up to speed on complex production processes and work with others to identify opportunities via data.
  • Strong data collection and data management skills to ensure the top issues can be identified.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams to implement cost savings programs across plant.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of lean experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 2 years management experience with strong ability in coaching and training preferred.
