About the role

  • Cocoa Stream Leader (CSL) will focus to optimize the full potential of the assets and efficiency, manages, directs, and drive the operational strategies & objectives and accountable for the operational performance from beans to liquor to ensure the achievement of site operational goals.

 

Key responsibilities include

  • Ensure a safe, healthy and positive environment, lead by example
    • CSL will motivate staff through fair leadership and clear objectives and ensure Safety Compliance with all applicable legal requirements.
  • Ownership of the complete stream performance: Quality, output, budget, strategic initiatives
    • Primary responsible for maximizing the BEANS to LIQUOR and PRESSING to POWDER/BUTTER manufacturing facilities and to ensure that effective initiatives are implemented to achieve overall site objectives as well as the agreed forecast with respect to revenue targets, personnel need, and organizational development.
    • Monitoring the manufacturing activities as well as a periodic inspection to ensure that the facilities are properly maintained and developed.          
  • Optimize Lead a team of multi-skilled coordinators and focus on performance and improvements
    • CSL is expected to attend the daily Team board meetings with key team members as well as to integrate functional team to enhance productivity improvement activities such as process improvement, benchmarking, waster eliminations, organization synergy, enhancing interdepartmental relationship & teamwork.
  • Assure alignment with Chocolate Stream Leader and functional departments
    • CSL will play a proactive role in ensuring proper and professional communication standards in the plant to achieve the fullest
  • Accountable for agreed KPI’s
    • CSL will focus to achieve the established production goals and KPIs by regularly evaluating actual results against performance targets, analyze and evaluate industry trends, and the Company resources needed to take advantage of the business opportunities.
    • CSL will be responsible for the management reports relevant to the BEANS to LIQUOR and PRESSING to POWDER/BUTTER operations and will monitor
  • Support the goals of the Site Manager
    • CSL is expected to keep abreast of the latest technical developments by maintaining contact with others in the field and to advise the Site Manager as to what corrective action is necessary and be responsible for the maintaining the accreditations achieved by the Site.
  • Develop the skills and talents of the team through performance and development management
    • CSL is expected to delegate and empowering the key team members in the upstream to perform their functions at the highest level of commitment and standard.
    • CSL will develop an efficient workforce by recruiting and training them to reach the minimum competency level standard expected from their portfolio. UL  is expected to appraise the direct subordinates regularly and improve their performance by providing counseling where necessary to enable key individuals to have a clear understanding of their performance and the company’s expectations.  Informal and formal performance appraisal should be carried out regularly to avoid any potential compromise in the performance standards.  
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and execute regional and corporate projects including legal compliance and risk management.
    • Internal stakeholders: Regional OSCO, Supervisors, Schedule Optimizer, Process, and CI Leader, Maintenance Stream Leader, Master Bean Blender, Pressing Expert, Quality Leader, HR, Finance, HSE Leade
    • External stakeholders: Audit, Customers Audit

 

About you

  • Bachelor / Master Degree in a general technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in lean, TQM, six sigma or similar Continuous Improvement environments
  • Knowledge or specific business understanding
  • Own the Barry Callebaut methodology of Continuous Improvement (One+)
  • Experience in Project - Portfolio Management & Leadership
  • Master all elements of change management, including requirements, structures and implementation barriers at site organizational levels   
  • English - advanced level
  • Good communication and influencing skills
