About the role
- The QA APAC Grad reports to the QA Manager role. This role will be accountable to lead, delivering specific projects, and execute day to day operations which provides exposure to end-to-end quality management on site. Responsible to deliver continuous improvement activities and championing Quality Culture at the site.
- This Graduate program will offer you the opportunity to further develop your career within our quality department. Over the 2 years term, you will gain significant international experience with the opportunity to undertake at least one rotation abroad.
- Travel for up to six (6) months is required
- Flexible to work across the various regions in Malaysia
Key responsibilities include
- Drive the agenda to ensure optimum First Time Quality is achieved through effective implementation and maintenance of the Food Safety and Quality Management System. Lead and manage key projects in line with the Quality agenda at the site level. Responsible for supporting the overall operation of Micro Lab and Chemical lab for the testing of Finished Goods, Raw/Pack Materials, and Environmental samples that comply with Good Laboratory Practices. Work collaboratively with various functions to deliver key projects which deliver the operation goals
- Over the 3 rotations, you will gain experience across core areas including:
- Cocoa & Chocolate Processing technologies and process knowledge
- Safety and quality standards/requirements for cocoa & chocolate operations
- Good knowledge of basic microbiology standards, processes,es and laboratory knowledge
- Understand Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), safety, food safety, and quality standards and procedures
- Manpower planning optimization
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving by leveraging Continuous Improvement tools
About you
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Microbiology or Food Technology or similar
- 0 - 2 years of experience in the quality assurance or production field.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, HACCP, BRC, FSSC 22000, and/or related food safety requirements
- Good knowledge of basic microbiology standards and process and laboratory knowledge
- Exposure to a production environment or food manufacturing experience during an internship is an added advantage
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Good communicator and able to cascade information
- Demonstrates planning and organization skills
- Analytical and able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to work independently and handle projects
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office tools
- Leadership experience is an added advantage
