About the role

  • The prospective candidate plays a planning and analysis role to the business, harnessing accounting, financial and risk data to deepen business understanding and support the decision-making process for the Finance Business Partner (FBP), Sourcing AMEA & Regional sourcing team.
  • This position is responsible for furnishing analyzed information in a structured manner, assessing historical and current business performances to calculate business forecasts and highlighting areas of opportunity for the Sourcing FBP to prioritize and construct business plans. Position requires strong multifunctional partnering skills with Sourcing FBP, Regional Chocolate FP&A, Risk Management, SSC Record to Reporting team, Treasury, Pricing and IM/IT team.
  • The position will be further tasked with identifying and implementing in collaboration with Sourcing FBP of process optimization and improving financial data integrity alongside to deliver actionable insights to the REGION Sourcing team. Implement financial processes towards global harmonization, including leverage Power BI and other technologies to enhance financial reporting and analytics capabilities.

 

Key responsibilities include

  • Supporting FP&A activity relevant to the Results of Sourcing Team P&L and B/S (Cocoa and Non-cocoa)
  • Responsible for the calculation preparation of Actual and Forecast for raw material position profits
  • Lead planning cycles process for the Cocoa & Non-Cocoa Ingredients profitability
  • Actively assisting the Sourcing FBP and regional Sourcing Team through target setting & rolling forecast cycle preparation, including developing excel calculation models, data upload in planning system, consolidation of targets and rolling forecast data across regions, run variance analysis calculations
  • Compiling management reporting for Sourcing FBP & Regional Sourcing lead and support related presentations (i.e. Internal reviews Actual or Planning data)
  • Provision of meaningful, consistent and comparable analytics and reports, actively collaborating with business stakeholders to help corrective actions
  • Ensures deep insights and information relevant for business steering by functional specialization and close alignment to business and markets
  • Assists Sourcing FBP deploying re-engineered financial processes where applicable or re-architected finance systems to measure performance vs targets
  • Support ad-hoc analysis for new sourcing initiatives, provide support information from relevant data sets for taking decisions
  • Collaborate in a matrix organization with Risk management, Regional Chocolate Finance, Pricing Teams, Treasury, IM department
  • Best practice sharing and efficiency improvement of analytics and reporting processes
  • Continuous improvement on the scope of the role 
  • Travel requirements: 10%. Occasional travel to Singapore and Zurich required

 

About you

  • Higher education: Bachelor in Accounting or Business Administration (Finance) ; Master degree will be a plus
  • 8+ years finance experience preferred commercial experience developed in physical soft commodities trading / food processing industry.
  • Required Strong analytical skills supported by very strong capabilities in MS Office & SAP R/3, B/W & B/O, Analytics systems i.e. POWER BI
  • Experience with FP&A, finance controlling, risk positions and derivatives management across multiple REGION markets
  • Detail oriented - ability to manage big datasets and ensure accuracy of reports is a key consideration for this position
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, strong collaboration skills

  • Stakeholder management – candidate should be able to manage across varying organizational levels
  • Negotiation skills – candidate must be adept at striking a deal that works for all parties
