About the role
Provide accounting and financial advisory support. The role includes performing period close activities on a timely and independent way, processing payroll, performing stock controls and processing of commission.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform period end activities such as booking of manual journal entries, processing of payroll, stock controls, billing due, etc.
- Respond to questions from entities and other SSC departments regarding finance general accounting matters and provide support
- Identify and calculate provisions and exceptions to standard bookings.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovative solutions and communicate them to the GL Supervisor.
- Perform accounting activities related to Sundry Sales invoicing
- Perform intercompany reconciliations for accounts payable and accounts receivables
About you
- Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or similar field
- English and another European language (Dutch, French, Italian, Spanish or German preferred)
- At least 4 years of experience in finance and accounting
- Experience in F&A (finance and accounting) shared services centre environments preferred
- Knowledge or specific business understanding
- Technical accounting and analytical skills
- Technology skills, including SAP, Microsoft Office and web-based applications
- Strong team player, highly motivated and eager to learn
