About the role;
As a Pricing Analyst, you develop competitive, accurate price proposals for the sales team using pricing models, market intelligence, and additional input from relevant stakeholders.
An ideal candidate will be able to form strong relationships with the sales teams and analyze detailed pricing models. This role covers cocoa sites and markets within Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa region and can also be involved in intercompany dealings between Cocoa and Chocolate Division.
Key responsibilities include;
- Understand the calculation mechanisms within the daily pricing tool.
- Stay up to date on current pricing processes, including the powder premium concept (Cocoa Leadership Project) and the computation logic used in pricing guideline levels.
- Interact regularly with stakeholders (e.g., Sales, customer service) to ensure alignment on pricing changes and contract management practices.
- Book sales contracts upon agreement from customers to lock in business
- Review, verify, and process contract requests from the sales team, ensuring all contracts are accurate and comply with company policies.
- Facilitate the timely creation of contracts that meet internal standards and legal requirements.
- Contract Modifications-Manage and document contract amendments, transfers, extensions, renewals, and other modifications.
- Ensure that all contract changes are processed according to the proper approval procedures and are in line with company policies and guidelines.
- Compliance & Pricing Guidelines: Conduct regular compliance checks to ensure adherence to pricing guidelines, including validating contract terms and conditions.
- Follow up on any discrepancies or issues with pricing and ensure timely resolution.
- Develop and manage effective and analytic reporting tools to support the business unit and the organization’s needs
- Understand the commodity market fundamentals and gather in-depth knowledge on the chocolate and cocoa manufacturing process in order to improve the pricing process
- Collaboration and Support: Actively support local, regional & global pricing projects & initiatives
- Act as a point of contact for internal teams (e.g., Sales, Finance, Procurement) for all contract-related inquiries
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective and streamlined contract management processes
About you;
- Minimum University Degree in Finance / Accounting / Mathematics / Statistics / Business Administration or related field
- At least 1 years of experience in a Finance, Commerial or Pricing function
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (lookup, index-match, pivot tables, etc)
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment and with SAP system is a plus
- Fluent in English is a must. Good command of another Asian language is an advantage
