About the role

  • This role is to handle the following key responsibilities mentioned to cover the areas within the scope of supply chain related activities pertaining to Logistics (inbound & outbound shipment) & external warehouse service providers.

Key responsibilities include

  • PR & PO management and liaise with Indirect Sourcing team on Purchase order issuance/changes & Contract tallying related matter relating to warehouse consumables/supplies.
  • Oversee & Management of shipment booking & shipment sailing scheduling related activities & prepare full spectrum of shipping documentation (inbound & outbound) that is SAP generated e.g. sales order commercial invoices, tax invoices, cargo insurance etc.
  • Work closely with GBS Planning & CS teams on planned/scheduled shipment to matching with sailing schedule to cater for order fulfilment.
  • Responsible for overall BCS shipment booking activities (Import and Export) and ensure a smooth operation flow within the shipping operation.
  • Oversee the liaison with warehouse, suppliers, customers, bankers (LC, TT orders) for all shipping logistics related issues.
  • Manage logistics service providers relating to external warehousing & logistics.
  • Close Collaboration with Local logistics team on the goods shipment activation & container loading related activities.
  • Close Collaboration with local site QA & warehouse team on finished goods QA release & stock GR to facilitate on shipment booking arrangement.
  • Attend to email correspondence with customer service & forwarder/courier agents relating to outbound shipment bookings, shipment scheduling/changes.
  • To arrange inspection with respective government authorities/surveyor, where needed, relating to shipping documentation preparation for outbound shipments.
  • Follow-up & advise on shipment booking status to customer service for outbound shipments to customers.
  • Attend to email correspondence with customer service & forwarder/courier agents relating to inbound shipment booking & shipment scheduling/changes & inbound receipts.
  • Liaison & coordinate with relevant internal BC & external stakeholders for reverse logistics/return flow matters relating to outbound deliveries & inbound deliveries/returns, where need be.
  • Take on the role of transport planner to facilitate on transportation planning & distribution in customer orders processing & customer orders fulfillment.
  • Participate in fine tuning & improvement of logistics function/activities with end-to-end supply chain continuous improvement mindset.
  • Active participation in SAP interface/integration projects & roll-outs involving logistics control tower & logistics & external warehouse handling integration.
  • Any other logistics related duties & responsibilities to be assigned from time to time.

About you

  • Diploma level minimum
  • Strong proficiency in English – oral and written
  • Chinese Language – read & speak is preferred
  • 2 year experience in Logistics Operations related field
  • 2 year experience in Transportation and Distribution and/or related field
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and Google (Gmail, Drive, Calendar) tools
  • Proven ability to multitask & prioritize in an extremely high volume/fast pace environment
  • Proven ability to process variable inputs to clarify/follow up on incomplete & ambiguous information
  • Proven ability to take initiative, overcome obstacles, solve problems and deliver consistent results
