About the role

  • The Intercompany Team Lead - is responsible to lead a team of Intercompany Accountants and provide support and guidance to enable the team to grow and develop towards both company and personal goals. This role is taking responsibility for reviewing the team’s intercompany processing and reconciliation, building a transparent overview of transactions between entities and allowing effective decision-making processes in the area of Intercompany overdue. Additionally, the Lead secures compliance with the process as well as limits financial risk with respect to FX losses.
  • Intercompany Team Lead is required to have a strong drive for Continuous Improvement and participate/ lead the transformation initiatives. He/ she creates a link with Intercompany Global Process Owner, Global Intercompany Manager as well as other Intercompany operational Teams globally. He/ she contributes to the IC standardization process and best practices sharing and/or implementing. This role focuses on achieving Intercompany KPIs and works on process efficiency. The Lead takes part in financial audits related to the Intercompany area.

 

Key responsibilities include

  • Supervise Intercompany team focused on the complete, accurate and timely completion of accounting transactions in end-to-end setup
  • Support overall Intercompany accounting and reporting processes by leading a team that executes accurate and timely Intercompany data analytics outputs, provides in-depth expertise in Intercompany area and process execution
  • Responsible for delivering daily, monthly and yearly targets by the team
  • Monitor process performance against agreed service level agreements and KPIs and define corrective plans for the team to reach the desired outcome
  • Knowledge management
  • Act as point of contact for all process/people-related escalations
  • Ensure compliance with internal guidelines (global IC processes) and procedures developing and maintaining systems, procedures and policies
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with key customers/suppliers both internal and external
  • Responsible for attrition management, arranging replacements on a timely basis and working closely with HR to ensure high employee morale and retention initiatives
  • Collaborate with accountable teams in continuous improvement activities and initiatives focusing on delivering efficiency, transparency and standardization
  • Drive continuous improvement and transformation initiatives
  • Support the GPO S2P by implementing standardization & best practices, validate new processes with GPO S2P

 

About You

  • Finance and Accounting, Business Management and Economics as preferred profile
  • Experience as team leader/people management for at least 1 year, experience in the GBS/ SSC, BPO environment would be the advantage
  • Any accounting certification is a plus
  • Any additional language from the Asia Pacific region is a plus
  • Proficient in English, and business proficiency in 2nd Asian language (Chinese/Japanese) would be an advantage
  • Strong technical accounting and analytical skills, service-oriented, demonstrates flexibility
  • Intercompany process experience
  • SAP system knowledge, Strong MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Advanced Excel for Intercompany dashboard
  • Process analysis and improvements identification
