Location: Pennsauken, NJ

About the role: 

Under the direction of the Production Manager, the Production Supervisors manages and coordinates activities concerned with the production of the location’s products. The Production Supervisor has a strong commitment to food and employee safety, ensures compliance for the production department and in the application of his/her daily routine.

Key responsibilities include: 

 

  • Manages plant operation within the shift and makes sure daily targets are achieved
  • Report production figures through SAP and other database files
  • Report downtime, waste and quality issues
  • Oversees breakdowns and technical issues by coordinating with maintenance and reporting/escalating issues
  • Acts as a leader for the shift. Work on developing the staff by cross training and job sharing
  • Allocate staffing and resources according to line demands
  • Oversee and monitor production schedules and adhere to production plans while adhering to all GMP and Safety policies
  • Train employees on their roles and responsibilities
  • Implement and adhere to Food Safety Program (HACCP, GMPs, etc)

 

About you:

  • Associates degree
  • 5-7 year of manufacturing experience in an FDA regulated facility
  • Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing background a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word
  • Previous experience in ERP, SAP is a plus
  • Has a lead role in site leadership promoting team morale and productivity
  • Speaks out confidently to raise issues or responds to challenges and criticism as well as argues a case by providing clear explanations and concrete solutions
  • Takes decisions and sets priorities to maximize production performance
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to coordinate tasks with other department and communicate issues or gaps
  • Must be able to freely move around the entire facility
  • Must be able to climb stairs
  • Must be able to work in extreme climate conditions
  • Must be resourceful, adaptable and willing to support all areas of production as needed
