About the role:
Under the direction of the Production Manager, the Production Supervisors manages and coordinates activities concerned with the production of the location’s products. The Production Supervisor has a strong commitment to food and employee safety, ensures compliance for the production department and in the application of his/her daily routine.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manages plant operation within the shift and makes sure daily targets are achieved
- Report production figures through SAP and other database files
- Report downtime, waste and quality issues
- Oversees breakdowns and technical issues by coordinating with maintenance and reporting/escalating issues
- Acts as a leader for the shift. Work on developing the staff by cross training and job sharing
- Allocate staffing and resources according to line demands
- Oversee and monitor production schedules and adhere to production plans while adhering to all GMP and Safety policies
- Train employees on their roles and responsibilities
- Implement and adhere to Food Safety Program (HACCP, GMPs, etc)
About you:
- Associates degree
- 5-7 year of manufacturing experience in an FDA regulated facility
- Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing background a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word
- Previous experience in ERP, SAP is a plus
- Has a lead role in site leadership promoting team morale and productivity
- Speaks out confidently to raise issues or responds to challenges and criticism as well as argues a case by providing clear explanations and concrete solutions
- Takes decisions and sets priorities to maximize production performance
- Good communication skills
- Able to coordinate tasks with other department and communicate issues or gaps
- Must be able to freely move around the entire facility
- Must be able to climb stairs
- Must be able to work in extreme climate conditions
- Must be resourceful, adaptable and willing to support all areas of production as needed
