The Refiner Assistant works with the Chocolate Operators to run the plant refiners.

 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Responsible for the care, operation and safety of the equipment in the Chocolate Manufacturing Dept.
  • Receive production orders from Production Supervisor, Production Manager, QA and R&D
  • Responsible for any duties to assist on the floor the chocolate operator in charge of the refiners
  • Assist DIDS operations as needed
  • Must be able to perform tasks of the pre-refiners , refiner and Dry Ingredient Dump Station operator positions ( including paperwork and HACCP checks)
  • Must be able to perform sampling, testing and measuring of the refiner’s flakes and makes adjustment for products to meet specifications
  • Make production checks to control quality and adjust the formulation accordingly
  • Has responsibility for the sanitary cleaning of the food contacts areas, such as (and not limited too) refiners, belts conveyors

 

About you:

 

  • High School Education or equivalent
  • Must be a results oriented individual, who thrives on situations involving pressure
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of the equipment and its operation within 30 days of actively training on the job
  • Must obtain forklift certification as soon as possible after receiving position
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
